Housing Partnership MYCAP Receives Grant to
Help Families Behind on Bills Amid Pandemic
(Youngstown, Ohio) – As Ohioans continue to struggle with the health and economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio is lending a hand to the Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP) as it helps Youngstown families pay their rent, mortgage, and energy bills amid the coronavirus pandemic. Anthem has given the partnership a $25,000 grant to bolster efforts to fight housing insecurity.

Winter Crisis Program Began November 2, 2020, at MYCAP
The Ohio Development Services Agency and Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP) will help income-eligible Ohioans stay warm during the winter months. The Home Energy Assistance Winter Crisis Program provides eligible Ohioans assistance if they are disconnected with their gas or electricity, threatened with disconnection with the gas or the electric, or if they have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel or repair of a non-heating furnace. The program runs from November 1, 2020, until March 31, 2020.
