Summer Crisis Program Begins July 1 at MYCAP

The Ohio Development Services Agency and Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP) will help income-eligible Ohioans stay cool during the summer months. The Home Energy Assistance Summer Crisis Program provides eligible Ohioans assistance paying an electric bill or assistance to homeowners for central air conditioning repairs. This program also provides fans and air conditioners. The program runs from July 1 through September 30, 2021.

Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP) is seeking Electrical, HVAC, Insulation, Plumbing, Pest Control, and Roofing contractors interested in work by subcontract under the Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP).
Interested contractors must show proof of insurance, bonding, independent BWC coverage, EPA Lead firm certifications, state license if applicable, and ownership of appropriate equipment. Contractors must be willing to complete and pass required training, hold appropriate certifications and follow a Schedule A pricing list. Interested companies may contact MYCAP to obtain a copy of the required qualifications.

Winter Crisis Program Continues at MYCAP
The Ohio Development Services Agency and Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP) will help income-eligible Ohioans stay warm during the winter months. The Home Energy Assistance Winter Crisis Program provides eligible Ohioans assistance if they ae disconnected with their gas or electric, threatened with disconnection with the gas or the electric or if they have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel or repair of a non-heating furnace. The program runs from November 1,2020 until March 31, 2020.
