MYCAP ANNOUNCES NEW PROGRAM
Emergency Home Services Program
MYCAP has received funding from Mahoning County Job and Family Services beginning April 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022.
The funding will provide Mahoning County residents that qualify a stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer, bedding, and/or a crib.
Applications may be picked up at the MYCAP office, 1325 Fifth Ave, Youngstown. The envelope will be labeled “Emergency Home Services”. Complete the application, follow instructions and insert required documentation so the process is not delayed. You may drop off the application (use the same envelope) in the mailbox located outside the office door.

The Ohio Department of Development and Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP) will help income-eligible Ohioans with water and wastewater assistance. The Low Income Household Water Assistance Program provides eligible Ohioans assistance paying water and wastewater bills. The program runs from October 27st, 2021 until September 30th, 2022. MYCAP began processing these applications through the HEAP department on January 18, 2022.

The Ohio Development Services Agency and Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP) will help income-eligible Ohioans stay warm during the winter months. The Home Energy Assistance Winter Crisis Program provides eligible Ohioans assistance if they are disconnected with their gas or electric, threatened with disconnection with the gas or the electric or if they have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel or repair of a non-heating furnace. The program runs from November 1,2021 until March 31, 2022.
